The Story of RUH Hijabs
Our newest chapter, woven in intention.
It all began with a quiet, persistent thought:
“Do we really need another hijab brand?”
For the longest time, that single question held me back. RUH has always been about soulfulness and sincerity, and I didn’t want to release a product just for the sake of it— I wanted it to mean something.
Still, the ideas kept tugging at me, gently but insistently — as if they were waiting to be born.
My beloved mother, mashaAllah, had been encouraging me for years: “Add hijabs to your brand.”
I hesitated… until one day, I made the niyyah — the sincere intention — and asked Allah to guide my steps. I let go. I trusted. I carried on.
And then, in the quietest of ways, things began to open.
A scroll through Instagram led to a manufacturer. Research. Dua. Reflection. Alignment.
Suddenly, the path felt clear.
The Designs
Designing was such a fun yet a roller coaster of a process— tender, deeply personal, and sometimes deeply frustrating. There were many late nights, long after my little one had drifted off to sleep, where I sat revising sketch after sketch. A design can shimmer in your mind but feel flat when translated to fabric. It takes patience — and surrender — to bring it to life.
Each hijab in this first collection is inspired by the soul of RUH:
🌸 Islam.
🌾 South Asian heritage.
🌙 And the journey of being a Muslim woman.
In full transparency, we designed seven original hijabs, and paired them with two beautiful keffiyeh prints sourced from our manufacturer. Though I longed to design our own keffiyeh, creative block held me back — and that, too, is part of the journey. I chose to include these timeless pieces, trusting that my version will come when the time is right.
This is what it means to create with grace: to honor your limits, and to make choices with heart.

The Photoshoot
Once the hijabs were in hand, I began dreaming of how to bring them to life.
The photoshoot was a soft, surreal dream, alhamdulillah. I sketched out the mood —
Think: a desi girl tea party, layered with the confidence of unapologetic hijabis.
Thanks to an incredible team and our talented photographer Dua (@itsduable), that vision came to life. From the hand-picked props to the laughter between shots, every moment was wonderful alhumdulilah.
Step by step, scarf by scarf, we’re slowly and intentionally sharing RUH Hijabs with the world. This launch is more than just fabric — it’s a gentle chapter in our story, stitched with dua, love, and the courage to begin.
